Committee Updates – October 2024 TAICEP Talk Newsletter

Committee for Standards and Quality (CSQ):

  • The committee has completed and released the new credential evaluation resource “Overview of Secondary and Higher Education in Cameroon”, available soon in the TAICEP Wiki. (Cameroon > Education System Overviews)
  • Other committee members continue researching and building the Qualifications Register portion of the database of National Qualifications Frameworks.

Committee for Resources and Knowledge Management (CRKM):

  • The committee has been hard at work assisting with the TAICEP Wiki, getting members more access to digital documents, and updating resources and verification information.
  • The committee is pleased to announce that we will be releasing a training outline, and an update to the TAICEP Glossary in the coming months.
  • Several verification resources have been added to the TAICEP Wiki.

Committee for Professional Development (CPD):

  • The committee offered the Spring Webinar Series, which was a well received success.
  • The committee is planning the 2025 series, and welcome anyone with a proposal or idea for a webinar to contact Staci Bernhard sbernhar@fiu.edu
  • The committee has also been approached by EducationUSA, who would like to deliver a session in the fall.
  • The Certificate Subcommittee is currently running four certificates, with several people in an unintentional race to be the first to earn the new Research Certificate.

Committee for Membership Outreach and Engagement (CMOE):

  • The committee continually works on the visibility of TAICEP, particularly in South America, and have plans to reach out into Africa, and South Asia.
  • The committee has been working on increasing visibility of TAICEP in South America, South Africa, and South Asia.

Conference Committee (CC):

  • The committee has released the conference schedule live in Dryfta.
  • Registration for the conference is still open!
  • The committee has contacted and confirmed all presenters. Those not picked for this year are encouraged to offer an article, a webinar or being part of the Spring Series.
